Sound Espressivo Global Competition - member of jury

I will have the pleasure to join a panel of judges for a competition of an unconventional format: Sound Espressivo Global Competition - Internet based live broadcasting competition for classical musicians.

Three rounds. Prelims are private, a contestant and one judge, real-time audition type, through our broadcasting system. Nominations and Finals are all through the Internet live public broadcast. No pre-recorded videos. Categories are artistic merit-based, as opposed to grouping by instruments. Samples of categories: "Profound Interpreter"; "Virtuoso"; "Lyricist"; "Innovator"; "Miniaturist", and similar. Repertory is free choice, whatever the contestant feels will best represent their artistry. No time limits either.

Judges are rotating, not one set panel, and will include instrumentalists, vocalists, conductors, music critics, even music managers and others who influence our careers. Judges are allowed to have their students enter the competition, their students will be judged by a panel which will exclude their current teacher. 

Prizes are offered by companies which promote artists' advancements in careers and education, which organize performances, offer summer festivals, scholarships, design websites, make recordings, create artist profiles, organize in-person and online concert series, etc, in a form of opportunities for emerging young musicians. Sponsor companies have a voice in awarding their prizes, they don't have to agree with the judges, and can award their company's prize to any finalist.
